This is a project I completed for a Real Estate Company out in Columbia Missouri about building codes. I think that the video itself did a great job. at hooking the viewer and reeling them in. Due to building codes not being one of the most exciting topics out there, hooking the viewer was a goal of mine and like I stated, I belive it was done. I also focused on matching the B-Roll shots to the narrartion and keeping the mood darker with different filters and effects. Im happy with the end product otther than a bit of the formating at the end.

This project was one I had been waiting quite some time to do. Therefor I decided to put maximum effort and time into making it as unique and high quality as possible. The wide array of shots ranging from quality establishing shots to detailed close ups, adds tons of character and depth to this short promotional video. This particular video was for a streaming company called "StreamSide Productions". I have worked with them in the past and always have a blast coming up with a new concept for the videos I create for them. I belive the over essence of the video displays exacly what is needed to replay the message and meaning of what they do and how they do it. Overall the video has many qualitys yet some extra editing was manditory due to a fuzz that was on the lens of my camera.
For this assignment I decided to showcase a video I did outside of class. This video was done for a new small buisness in Olivette Missouri called Revo Cup Coffee. I had a blast experamenting with new styles due to the fact ive never made promotional videos for any food focused establishments. Overall the theme of the video showcases what Revo Cup is about and does a good job of putting the viewer in a customers shoes. I made sure to color match all the shots and match the shots to the narration of the owners daughter. It flows very well and gives the viewer an Idea of what Revo Cup is about in a short amount of time.
Now that I am in Broadcast Technology 7, I am given a bit more of a challange. Especially on projects I have done countless times, Such as the Adobe Spark graphic. This time around upper level students were challanged to create the graphic on someone else and no themselves. Therefor I choose to call up a good friend of mine, Britt Barbie. She has an interesting story to say the least, Which compelled me to do the graphic on her. She shared tons about her social media life and what hobbies she has outide of social media. Although I have been talking back and forth with her for a few months, I learned a few things that suprised me. She gaver me a backstory on how she ended up gaining a following and how it has changed her view on life. Overall I think Britt was a phenomonal canidate for my last Adobe Spark Graphic.
Semester one of senior year has been something else to say the least. To show the positivity and the bring side of what is sometimes negative, I put together a video highlighting some of my favorite moments caught on camera. I decided to make it short and to the point while still relaying the message. The most difficult part about producing this video was the fact that most of my favorite memories have been filmed vertically and this was a horizontal themed video. I felt as if it would look unprofessional and not as dramatic. The feel of the video is wholesome and the added in sound bites adds depth that works extremely well. I really enjoyed the freedom for this final project yet it was almostt to much freedom for me and my style of filmmaking.
For this project I decided to showcase a video I recenlty did outisdie of class for my Production Company Klicc. I put together a short and to the point video of what StreamSide Productions does and what service they provide. They didnt give me any instructions and told me to let my creativity roam free. I had a style in mind that I wanted to achive and I think I pulled it off perfectly. The event was at a banquette hall at St.Louis's Lambert Airport which I felt like I had to incorperate and did by subtly sneaking in videos of planes that went with the interview that lied in the baskground. The format of the video shows StreamSide Productions lengthy setup and overall service in a short and timley mannor. One thing about the video I wish was done better was the audio for the interview. It was a bit rockey at times and there was a good amount of background noise that could have been left out. I also wish I got a few more shots of the equipment they provided which is why I firmley belive in the saying, "You Miss 100% of the shots you dont take".
Lets just say the Ladue View Halloween Special had its ups and downs and also doubts. Yet we pulled it off, every one of us played our parts and made our vision a reality. When we firt thought of the idea we werent so sure it would work out, to many guidlines, deadlines and policies. Along with that the shelf life of the show is nothing camapred to a normal casting of the show. We went for it anyway, and im extreamly proud of everyone that took time even out of class to go film even at Eckerts. Maxwell Crane and I went to Creepyworld in fenton to do a POV style video, I think it ended up being very fitting and added some fright to the show. Overall the show went very smoothly, There were a few delays and issues with AJA but being the editor it wasnt to difficult to smooth it out and have the end product come out flawless. Im extreamly pleased with the end product and couldnt have imagined a better end result.
It began with just a short 1 minute try out video. Little did I know, I would end up being picked and flown up to Cooperstown, New York by the St.louis Cardianls. From the Moment my classmate Mate and I found out we were going to Cooperstown we were extreamly excited. Yet I dont think it set in until we arrived. I arrived to the St.Louis Lambert Airport and enter to see Mr.Goble awaiting Mate and I's arrival. What neither Mate or I excpected were to be seated feet away from legends like Ted Simmons and Ozzie Smith. Fast Forwarding to the action of the trip we head to the Ostaga Hotel, Wednesday night. It was registration night and nothing to exciting occurred other than us meeting with some fellow students from Lake Forst High School located in Chicago, Illinios. Thursday was our first hands on day, It started around 8:15am. Filming from the second we arrived till the second everyone was packing was somthing Mate and I had to get use to but I would like to say we addapted pretty well. Friday till sunday was non stop and definitely the most demanding portion of the trip. We made it to Doubleday everyday at 8:15am and didnt leave till around 5:30. Leaving us with only around 1-2 hours to freshin' up or upload footage if we had time. Then after an hour or so we usally had a banquette or dinner planned that went on till 10-10:30. Overall the trip was extreamly demanding and required Mate and I to stay up into the early morning hours to complete videos filmed the previous day. Yet it was 100% worth it. The relationships created and overall experiance that we got while being in Cooperstown was like no other. Rubbing shoulders with legends and MVP's Like Ted Simmons, Ozzie Smith, David Freeze, David Eckstein, Larry Walker, Allan Craig and so many more was a lifechanging experience. Having one and one conversations and getting to know the players and fantasy campers was genuinely the greatest part of the whole trip. Everyone was so open with talking with these random highschoolers holding cameras and shoving microphones in their faces. I am very greatful that I got to be apart of such an amazing trip that I will remember forever. By the end of the trip it felt like I was leaving my good friends behind, Not Legends nor Strangers. And it especially Felt this way after Ozzie took Mate and I to lunch in the airport on our way back to St.Louis. And Ozzie giving me the Nickname "Ace" Definetly made me realize how unique and amazing the trip and everyone on the trip were. -Ace Out
For this semester our final was a challange to say the least. Yet we kind of did it to ourselves. The criteria was to make one big video that incorporated everyone in the class one way or another. As soon as we understood the guidelines we started planning and coming up with cool ideas for the final. We ended up choosing a "Survior" Style video that would be unprofessionaly, professionally recorded if that makes sense. All of the team work and cooperation helped the project feel whole especially sense everyone had a special part. Everyone also had their own roll duirng the production of the film. For example Mate and I were the Editors and Jack was in charge of getting cinematography. Overall from start to finish everyone did an amazing job helping out one way or another and it was so cool to see everyone so invested in this project when we didnt have to be. We could have just made a short video that we could have blown off till last second yet we went above and beyond and mabey over did it a tad. This is definetly one of my favourite projects I've been apart of in Broadcast Tech.
The 3 years I have been in Broadcast Tech I have m ade videos about how I started on Youtube and Ive touched on my past a bit, But not enough. And that sthe purpose of this video, I went back in time even back to the late 2000s. Most of the videos are sourced from my Youtube channel yet there are a few here and there that are before I started Youtube. Overall the video turned out just have I invisioned it, A very nostalgic feel that carrys on through the video. The way I edited the video makes you focus on the clips more versus there being to many clips back to back to back which makes it easier to miss somthing. In conclusion this was a great project and I like how much freedom we had, I am also very happy with how my video turned out.
